The climate challenge is not only an innovation problem. It is also a deployment problem. Breakthrough technologies already exist, but bringing new ones from the lab to the market takes 10+ years of R&D, immense capital, and high uncertainty. We don’t have that time. Instead of underwriting early-stage technology risk, we invest in the systematic expansion of proven cleantech winners into the Benelux—transforming validated global success into scalable regional impact.

We do not fund R&D. We exclusively partner with international cleantech companies that have achieved product-market fit and >€1M in annual revenue.

Deployment over Development

Instead of betting on “the next big thing,” we invest in the regional expansion of proven winners.

We target high-impact verticals—electrification, circularity, and energy efficiency—to decarbonize the world’s most emission-heavy sector.

Controlled Execution. Aligned Incentives.

We don’t just fund companies; we build the local market leaders alongside our partners through a structured Joint Venture (JV) model.

Identify winners: We seek and identify winning companies with potential for rapid market entry into Benelux
Establish: We set up a dedicated JV with the technology partner.
Align: We align incentives between the technology partner, local management, and the fund. We’re all in this together to win.
Execute: One Planet Studio provides the co-founding services and the One Planet Fund I the financing to lead the launch and scaling of operations.
Exit: Once the JV is fully operational and profitable (typically 4–5 years), our stake is sold under a pre-agreed mechanism.

One Planet Studio (OPS) is a GP-led Venture Creation Engine. We don’t just “select” deals from a pile; we architect the very assets we invest in. Our team of ex-founders provides the operational infrastructure required to turn international success into Benelux market dominance.

GP-Led Dealflow Creation: We provide structural additionality. By co-creating every Joint Venture (JV) under full GP control, we build high-quality investable projects that simply would not exist without us.
Operational “Boots on the Ground”: We eliminate the friction of market entry. We provide the local founding team, navigate complex Benelux regulations, and drive the first 24 months of business development.
Predictable Exit Mechanisms: We prioritize liquidity and downside protection. Every JV is structured upfront with pre-agreed partner buy-backs or put options, targeting a clear 4–5 year exit horizon.
