JOB DESCRIPTION
What you will do
As a Junior Green Venture Builder, you will support Green Venture Builders (Business Partners) in building new green ventures from scratch. You will contribute to every step of the venture-building journey and grow into increasing autonomy.
You will support the team to:
- Identify the right opportunities
- Research and screen international cleantech solutions, partners, and technologies
- Analyze market potential in our focus fields: building & construction, energy efficiency, circularity, bio-sourcing
- Prepare scouting reports and opportunity assessments
- Develop partnerships
- Support in outreach to foreign cleantech companies
- Assist in preparing partnership materials, meetings, and negotiations
- Shape and validate venture models
- Help draft go-to-market strategies and business plans
- Contribute to market validation activities: customer interviews, field research, competitive analysis
- Support venture launch & operations
- Assist with early business development efforts (lead generation, outreach preparation, CRM follow-up)
- Prepare financial models and subsidy research under senior guidance
- Draft pitch decks for partners, investors, advisors, and investment committees
- Contribute to operational setup of new ventures (HR, operations, growth processes, etc.)
- Build the ecosystem
- Support recruitment efforts for venture leadership teams
- Engage with external advisors, experts, and partners
- Help organize workshops, meetings, and ecosystem-building activities
This role offers a unique opportunity to learn venture building hands-on working side by side with experienced founders and cleantech experts.
What you will bring to the table
We seek a motivated early-career generalist passionate about sustainability, entrepreneurship, and helping world-changing ideas scale.
You are passionate about:
- Sustainability & climate tech
- Startups and venture building
- Go-to-market strategy and business design
You bring experience in:
- A first job in startups, consulting, VC, business development, engineering, or sustainability
- Exposure to one of our sectors (built environment, energy transition, circularity, or biosourcing)
- Research or analytical work related to climate, tech, or innovation
You have the following competencies:
- Strong communication skills: able to present findings clearly
- Curiosity and initiative: you take ownership and proactively solve problems
- Analytical ability: comfortable dealing with complex topics and data
- Interpersonal skills: you engage well with people of diverse backgrounds
- Team player: collaborative, supportive, and eager to learn
- Project management: able to structure tasks and meet deadlines
- Sales mindset: not afraid to talk to customers or partners
- Resilience : comfortable in fast-paced, uncertain environments
- Languages: Flemish is required, English, and French is a plus
- University or high school certificate : you have completed studies in Business, Engineering, Sustainability, Economics, or any related field that prepares you for venture building in climate tech.
